I found this car at JD Byrider and just fell in love with it! My car is a maroon with the carpet material no the inside. I love how smooth it drives and that it gives great gas mileage. The car looks very nice on the outside and also in the inside. The trunk is very spacious and I usually keep my tent in there for when we go camping. I am glad I got an automatic because I have never driven a manual and that was also a concern of mine. My fiance and I are wanting to also have children in the next few years and were worried about having too little of a car.

We had told the rep at JD Byrider we were wanting an affordable car that had lots of room and that was reliable. At the time we had a 1994 Chevy Astro van and were worried it was going to be breaking down soon. We were able to test drive it, but it was very snowy at the time. It drove very well over the snow despite the worn tires and it handled well over all the curves on the road. It takes very little time to actually heat up and so you are not freezing when you go to work in the morning. I love how it came with a cd radio and so we could listen to all of our cds since our old car's radio had gone out a long time ago. It even camce with a really good subs and my fiance loved playing his techno music!

The only real issues I have seemed to actually have with the car is that when I first bought the vehicle the tires were already worn and so I had to buy whole new tires.

Other than that I was surprised how many miles that I got per gallon with the car. I was able to actually drive from my house in Souther Indiana to Indianapolis in Central Indiana with only filling up once because I started out without a full tank. I also had to replace one of my headlights here lately. I have only had the car since January and am paying for it all by myself. It is not too expensive either compared to what other cars of the same age are going for.

The Stratus is not too flashy but its a really good car and it looks like it. If you are also looking for something that does not charge a lot with car insurance, this is your car! I only pay a 150 a month for two twenty-one year olds driving it with a decent record. Its something good to know because depending on the car the insurance can be really expensive. By the way, this is for full coverage as well.

All in all this is a great starter car because of how reliable it is. Also you can fit up to five people in there with little or no complaint because of how much room the actual car has. Other than replacing my headlight and the tires I have had no issues with the car. I keep it in good shape and I am looking foreword to keeping the car until the end of my contract and for more years to come.
