I looked at every hybrid model out there and researched things such as miles per gallon, safety, cost and functionality. In the end everything added up to the Toyota Prius being the best one out there and I can’t say enough about how great this car is! I would recommend this car to anyone who is looking for a new car and a way to save money at the same time. I believe this car appeals more to females, but I know of many males who also love the Toyota Prius. This car is safe, nice to drive, and has an awesome futuristic look to it.
Not only does it really get 50 miles to the gallon, but you could get even more if you are more cautious when you drive. The car also has great safety features, for example side airbags, or if you are willing and able to pay extra, you can get a system that warns you of a possible collision before it happens. The Prius also has other great features such as a screen that has five different display options. For example, on one screen you can see whether you are using gas power, battery power and if you are charging the battery, and on another you can see a trip set graph to monitor the distance you have traveled, the speed and the amount of fuel intake. The inside of the car also has a futuristic and high tech look to it that appeals to almost everyone, in fact I have never herd someone complain about the interior. Another benefit of the interior is that the backseats fold down for extra storage space and the trunk has extra storage space near the spare tire.
Along with all this, the amount of money you will save in gas adds up and makes the car an even better investment. The cost of the Prius is huge bonus because it is one of the cheapest hybrids out there AND it is the best. Toyota has been working with the hybrid technology much longer than any other companies and they have had the chance to work out all the kinks and make the most efficient hybrid out there.
I have had this car for almost six months and there are only two things I would ever complain about. One thing that I find a little annoying is that the car beeps when you are in reverse, you do not hear this on the outside, just the inside, so it gets annoying after a few seconds. The other thing that is a bit annoying is that the gas gauge is not always 100% accurate because the gas tank is made of plastic instead of metal. The reasoning for this is smart because it makes the car lighter and helps with the gas mileage, but the plastic changes size in different temperatures and someone makes the gas gauge a little unreliable. Other than these two things I have no found any cons to the car and I have never heard of any others.
