I just want to start out by saying this may not be a terrible vehicle but the one that my parents have is just terrible. It does not matter how much money and time you put into this car, something always breaks on it. For example: Ever since my parents bought the Durango, there have been major front end noises and problems. At first they thought it was the brakes so my dad checked them out and did not see anything at first glance. Luckily my buddy have one and said he had the same problem. The caliper bolts would come loose for no reason at all so he bought oversized bolts and replaced the factory ones. We did the same and that worked great for a few months. Then all of the sudden while you are driving the SUV seems to just wander all over the road. Figuring that it might be an alignment issue we had it in the shop. A lot of good that did, they could not evern figure out what was wrong with it. The window regulator went out on the front driver's side, which I understand is common with most vehicles. Then the blower motor went bad, which thankfully we did not have to take out the whole dash. The only other issue that I am aware of which is the electronic timing module went bad. This caused all of the lights to stop working, interior and exterior. Obviously that is not a good thing especially when you work nights and you are trying to get home. I would not recommend this car to anyone, at least not this year. I really have not heard anything to terrible about the newer year Durango.
