my husband and I purchased this van in October of 2006 with around 13000 miles on it. Apparently it had been used as loaner car at an airline in Florida. At the time it was just my husband and myself and our 15 month old son. We traded as my husband is a very tall man and he was basically driving with his knee caps in the dashboard in our Jeep Liberty. We purchased a van for more room, and purchased this particular van because of its safety ratings. They are very high and this vehicle has side curtain air bags. It has a ton of cup holders (put to use by my husbands high school basketball team), an automatic door on one side very convenient when loading and un-loading kids) Knock on wood as of this date (oct 09) we have only had to replace the brakes with 32 k and tires at 40 k.. (and of course little maintenance things oil changes, filter etc) it now has 55 k, we have added one more son to our family and frequently haul nieces and nephews around. We have also used this trip for hauling dj equipment, my husband does that along with being a teacher and coach. Its not often that my whole family goes to a dj job but there have been a few family functions that we have all needed to attend and instead of taking more than one vehicle out of town we are all able to go together, equipment, kids, car seats and luggage and all! We have also taken several trips to the beach with several families in tow. (we have needed a little bit more leg room in the last row, but nothing that is to inconvenient. I do have a few little things that I wish were different, like the center seat in the middle of the car is supposed to be the best place to have an infants car set, however when the seat is placed in the center it tends to sit crooked. I believe this is due to the center seat being smaller than the other two on each side I also wish there was a speaker in the doors in the center, we added an after market dvd player and my son is constantly asking me to turn it up and it gets to be turned up to 50+ before he can hear it well enough. Now, on the other hand i was lucky enough to get a van (not sure if its standard or not) with the hook up for my mp3 player and it also plays mp3 discs and has a 6 disc changer. My husband also could use a little more room for his legs in the drivers seat and maybe an extra inch or two between the drivers and rear (my husband can not sit completely comfortably in the drivers seat, with our newborns car seat lying all the way down) Little things, that really are not even thought about unless doing something like this...I love my van and am super happy with the purchase! I would recommend this van to anyone that has a family, it handles wonderfully, runs wonderfully and is very easy to take care of!
