I have came to love and admire This car. This stylish car is the 2006 Scion Xb. In Japan it is known as the 2006 Scion Bb. This car is a dream. First let me start by saying that I know this is 2009 and the new models are out of course, but the 2006 version in my opinion is the best! Pro's:If your a business owner then these cars are ideal for advertising your business. There is plenty of room to have a large stylish advertisement on both sides and even the back hatch. All seats, front passenger and rear seats fold flat down. This allows room for large or many orders to be hauled. There are two hidden compartments in the back floor board right near the hatch. One is for your spare tire and the other can hold smaller items.
If your buying it for family use then you can't go wrong here either. It can seat up to five people. Behind the back seats is room enough to put your dogs in comfortably or groceries. I have checked this out and both my 76 pound dog and 30 pound dog fit fine there. The seat belts fit comfortable around you as well. One of my favorite features is how easily you can slide in and out of the car. There is no jumping up because it's too high and no flopping down because it's too low to the ground.
I was told by my insurance company that since it had great safety features then the price of my insurance was very affordable for me. The gas mileage is great. Thirty in city and 32 miles per gallon on Highway. Changing from an 1992 S-10 to this car saved me a lot of money on gas. The breaks are awesome. Sadly one week after buying mine brand new in 2006 I was hit by a diver doing an illegal u-turn on July 4th. I slammed on the breaks and it responded so quick. If I was in my S-10 I would have been in the on-coming traffic lanes and would have probably been rolled several times after being hit by them too. This was when I fell completely in love with the car. The breaking system is great! The radio system is by pioneer and to be honest for it to be a factory made stereo it sure had the juice! I felt no need to upgrade or install a different one. I like my music loud and the right settings and this one done it! Also there are what I call "hidden Easter Eggs". If your a gamer or movie-holic then you know what I mean. For those of you that don't then it just means there are hidden features on the car. For example: you can hit a certain button combination on the stereo and instead of "Scion" coming up on the screen in English then it comes up "Scion" in Japanese characters. There are many Easter Eggs in this. The car is a five door car. I had hauled my 32 inch wide screen tv in it with me sitting next to it and still had room...it was even out of the box.
I really like the style to this car too. Yes it is square, but it is fully customizable. If you get the chance google 2006 Scion Xb in the images section. You'll be amazed. You can even throw the word "customized" in there as well. My favorite moment in this car was right after we had a bad snow storm. The snow was so bad after the storm. I pushed the button for attraction and headed to work. I happened to pass 4 trucks along the way that were stuck. It was odd to see a Ford F150 stuck in the same amount of snow that my little Scion Xb was moving right along in. I was not speeding, but I was not crawling either. It never once lost it's grip and slid. It was a if the car toke care of it's driver and kept me safe. Cons: The only complaint I honestly had is the overhead light is not very bright. I do feel they could have put it a little brighter. . The car is well worth it rather you want something for multi-function, large family, or to use for business...this car has it all! I recommend this car to anyone.
