I have a 2006 Audi A4 Convertible and it is the best car I have ever owned or driven in. I have a soft top convertible, black top, Brilliant Black paint job, and black leather interior. I have the 1.8T with a 4 cylinder turbo engine. There are heated front and back seats. I got the premium BOSE stereo package and it is a huge step up from normal stereo systems I have had. The interior is great; the leather has not cracked in 3 years. I also have the premium wood finish across the dashboard and the doors which added a sense of class. There are so many more pros to this car than cons. The convertible top goes up and down within about 20 seconds, so even if it starts to drizzle unexpectedly, I have never had a problem with the top. The car rides as if you are gliding, and I have never even used the “sport” mode which I hear is even smoother as you are supposed to use that when you are going extremely fast, as if you were on the Autobon in Europe. The car at night is even more elegant. The red lights and buttons in the car off the black dash just pop out at you when you get in. Many people may feel that convertibles mess your hair up and other things, but really, in the front seat you don’t get as much wind as you think. In the back seat though, your hair flies. I don’t recommend a windscreen though as it takes away from the whole convertible experience. You might as well get a coupe or sedan for ten thousand dollars less. The only few cons I have noticed so far is that the car gets dirty and dusty very fast. I spend twenty-five dollars for my car wash to get it done professionally, with a little detailing and wax as well. When this is done, the car looks absolutely amazing and brand new. One thing I wish I had was a back window wiper. It is tough to see out of when it is raining but it isn’t awful as the mirrors do a fine job. Many people thing soft tops make a big blind spot but it really doesn’t once you understand where to look. The car drives amazing in the rain; you can go normal speeds and have no fear of skidding, or losing control. The brakes are fine in the rain and you can still stop on a dime. I have all season tires on the car and so far so good. They have treated me greatly in the snow which is good since most of these come in rear wheel drive only. The trunk space is surprisingly large and deep. You can’t fit something that is tall, but the space is deep that you can easily fit groceries or packages. The air condition kicks in there and I love the ability to have air on one side and heat on the other. The heated seats work almost instantly and can really warm you up. I recommend this car to anybody. If convertibles aren’t for you, than at least get the A4 sedan as that is the same thing without the convertible top. Audi’s are great cars and are fully covered with Audi warranties, bumper to bumper.
