2006 Hyundai Sonata

The 2006 Hyundai Sonata I owned was a fantastic car. I received so many compliments on the looks and styling of the vehicle. Even though the price is very affordable, I compared that car to high end luxury vehicles. The seats were very comfortable and details like faux wood paneling were used in the interior which gave the car a very stylish appeal. The steering wheel had controls for the radio and cd player which made adjusting the music very easy while driving. Cruise control was easily accessed on the steering wheel as well. I am a very tall person and the interior was spacious and roomy. I never had any issue with comfort despite my size. Driving the vehicle was heaven. The V6 engine was solid and performed well. Pick up speed and acceleration was great. I had to watch my speed on highways because I was always going faster than I thought I was since the engine was so quiet and the car itself was so smooth riding during high speeds. The warranty on the car was great. There was a recall on the air bags and it was fixed completely for free which gave me great peace of mind. I never had many issues with the car except for the brakes. I owned the car for two years and had the brakes done three times. I would recommend having very high end brake pads installed if the brakes needed to be done on your Sonata since it seemed that I was always going through them quickly and I was not a brake slammer either or was I driving on side roads often. Most of my driving was highway miles, so the brake repairs were a concern. I drove the car from MA to SC with four passengers. We were very comfortable on the long trip and they weren't any issues. The car came with roadside assistance when I purchased it so breaking down on a long drive was never a concern. I was covered if that happened. My daughter is 16. She loved the car, too. She liked to go for rides and show it off to her friends since it was so stylish.
