Toyota Camry a Car You Can Trust!!

I have owned my 1998 Toyota Camry for over six years. I like the fact that Toyotas are known for their dependability and reliability. I bought the car with 73,000 miles already on it but because knew that this type of car is known for it’s ability to get high mileage, so I decided to buy it. Today I have over 230,000 miles on it. I was told that as long as you keep the maintenance a Camry will run forever. I am a firm believer in that. The four cylinder engine helps in fuel cost yet it has the ability to “get up and go” when you need it to. The Camry has had very little repair work done. I have had to replace the timing belt which is standard after, I believe, 75,000 miles. The water pump has been replaced also. I have to say that compared to some of the other vehicles I have owned, in the past, I am very pleased with how well the Camry has held up. In the past once my car reached about 100,000 miles I would start to have major problems that would involve expensive repairs. This car is still my main mode of transportation, I still completely trust it to get me where I need to go. I still use the Camry on long trips. The thing I am most amazed about is the smoothness and how quiet the car runs. I have been in very few cars, even new cars, that have a ride as smooth as the 1998 Toyota Camry. The engine is so quiet that you really have to listen to hear if the engine is running or not. Someone rode with me the other day and couldn’t believe how quiet and smooth the car ran, especially for it’s age. If I had to list any dislikes about the 1998 Camry it would be two minor things. One, the door handle on the inside wanted to separate, leaving a gap between the panel that contains the window control and the vinyl. I had someone try a heavy duty glue, which held for a little while but then separated. It does make the door unsightly. Second, the small areas on the hood that are rusting. I believe Toyota has greatly improved the ability to keep the paint from coming off but I feel it could be better. I would highly recommend the Toyota Camry to just about anyone. It is a great car for small families, an excellent choice for older people, and a safe choice as a starter car for a teenager. The look of the car doesn’t stand out as looking old, I personally do not feel I am driving around in an eleven year old car. Since Toyota Camrys are so popular and long lasting I see many of the same make and model everywhere I go. Just recently, we took a trip to Key Largo. It was a fifteen hour drive. Of course you are going to get tired of riding in any car but the Toyota made it an extremely comfortable trip. There were four of us in the car and everyone had plenty of space.
