2005 Honda Accord

Writing a review for an Accord is not so easy. I have known the car since my childhood with great admiration and passion. I always wanted to own it, but could not have the chance. I will fulfill it in my future with the Accord or the Mercedes. let me put forth the plus and minus of the Honda Accord 2005 model.

Pros: Drives like a honda (easy). Very good engine power and smoothness. Close ratio 6 speed shifts nicely. Luxury and performance. Good gas milage for a 3.0.Amazing performance for a "family car". All this for a car that cost me half as much! I've driven this baby 8000 miles in three months, I'm very satisfied with this car. Love how all the controls on the steering wheel have certain dimples on them, so you can feel what button your pushing without looking, kinda like braille. How thoughtful!.Great accelleration, braking, and handling. The stability control has saved me before on icy and twisty roads. 6 disc changer works well. I'm tall 6'1" but like the steering wheel close so the telescoping wheel is great. I have 140k miles and have not had any mechanical problems

Cons: The car is everywhere. Before owning it, you don't notice because its a kind of blending in. It's not very stylish or sporty looking, kind of a sleeper. Engine is so quiet and smooth, you pretty much have to shift by watching the tach. When I first got it, I have found myself cruising along in 5th instead of 6th.Acceleration is a bit lacking in first and second gear, after that, it's good! I just read a review on the clicking noise, going from reverse to drive..It has always made that clicking noise since I've had it, so I thought it was the way it was made, but everybody that hears it says it sounds like something is wrong. I'm not sure.I would reccomend it to anyone interested in a few fine appointments and a deserning feel for power. I am not one to reccomend things often either. Oh, btw cars stats: 14,300 miles already since March 2005 just had my 15k mile service done at the Honda dealership; absolutly no problems (yet, i'm a skeptic).

Overall Review: Very nice car for the money.Great Engine, but need to improve paint and seat. It is so bad after driving TL-S with NAVI and VOLVO T60, and AUDI.. their paint and seats are much better. Accord should have make it better for HONDA. Features + quality + reliability. Very sporty drive train, even though it doesn't look it. I was looking at the more entry level RSX and Civic . Because of buyer demand, I think I scored a better deal and for more car. (I wouldn't compare it to BMW or Audi or something like that.) Honda sedans and earlier generation coupes have always had really plain styling and kind of a negative for me, but this coupe is OK, even though you still have to tell people "yeah, we have an Accord."
