I am 44 years old and have owned numerous cars since I was 16 years old. The very most fondest of those cars being a 2008 Hyundai Elentra GLS. I came accross this awesome vehicle by accident, which is also how my relationship with this vehicles ends. I was shopping for a car with my wife and had absolutely no intentions of trading in my car when I met the Elentra. I first saw it out of the corner of my eye and thought "wow, that may be one for me". But realizing what trouble I would be in for shopping for myself, I quickly discarded the thought. While we concentrating on the vehicle that caught my wifes' eye, a 2008 Hyundai Tucson, I could almost hear the Elentra calling my name. I couldn't take it anymore, I had to drive one. I took my wife home and told her I would be back and I was thinking about buying a car for myself also. I then went back to the dealership and announced my intentions. I inquired about the Elentra, and was impressed by what I was told. I then decided to see for myself if this car could handle me. After the test drive I knew I would be buying one. Eventually we came to an agreement on both cars and purchased the 2 hyundais. I was totally amazed, I found a car that I absolutely loved. Everything about it was awesome: mileage, color, sleek design, stereo, comfort, ride, mp3 player hook up, and most of all-acceleration. I honestly loved this car. I drove the car 8 months and put on over 19,000 miles until one day it happened. I was on my way to work and drving down a country road when out of nowhere this enormous deer jumped in front of me. It was a direct hit. I collided with the 280 pound 12 point buck directly in the center of my car. Total devistation occurred. My car that I loved everything about, was done. I totalled the car and it even caught fire. Luckily I escaped with minor injuries, the deer was not so fortunate. In the days to come realized how much money I could save by not having 2 car payments. I still needed a car for work, so I ended up buying an older used small car. While this car will serve its' purpose, it will not be a car I keep for long. I still frequent the Hyundai dealership and take my wifes' car there for service, but it is very difficult to be around all those Elentras and not own one. I will own another one as soon as finances allow, but it will not be soon enough. To anyone out there who is looking for that awesome car that you will absolutely love, go buy an Elentra. Just make sure you all save 1 for me.
