I love my car still

When I bought this car in the beging of the 2006 model year, I expected I would want to trade it in after only a few years. I "wanted" something with more power and better looks. Since then I have turned 180 degrees in attitude. I no longer think of getting rid of it. I bought just the baseline model, opting to not go with any of the multiple dealer installed mods. I liked the simpler styling with out the "flash". I especially liked that such a large amount of amenities came standard; Power Windows/Doors, Cruise Control, Anti-Lock Brakes, power sun roof, with a rear seat moon roof etc... During my test drive it proved to be quick enough to meet my needs of entering/merging with oncoming traffic, and passing. What I came to realise later was that it has a serious top end speed, which leads to my most memorable moment. I was traveling to visit a friend in another city and remarking that the trip had seemed much much quicker than normal, and only then noticing just how fast I was going - 120mph. It was that smooth and effortless. In fact the only thing I feel could be improved is the compartment size. It's not really meant for a guy over 6ft tall.
Even the buying experience was pleasent. I had tried to buy other cars, and alway ran into Sales agents, finance officers etc, trying to pile on the extras so that they could pad their profit. Scion was very pleasing in that they listed a price and that was it. No desert protection plan - washing and waxing your car once every six months for an extra $500. They offered an extended warranty plan, and then stated it wasn't needed - so far following the listed maintenance schedule I've had 0 problems so apparently they were right. They advised me about a couple extra insurances, and they let me deicde if I wanted them or not.
Everything considered (including the fact that long ago I used to sell cars) I have to say that I am completely satisfied with and deeply commited to my Scion Tc. So much so that once I finish payments on this one, I'll buy another new Tc, and give this to one to my nephew. I would recommend this not just to the younger more stylishly impressed adults but for older adults looking for a good daily car with enough get up and go.
