2006 Pontiac G6

I have owned my Pontiac G6 GTP for a little over 3 years now and this is a fabulous car! Every day I use this car as my mode of transportation. Let me tell you that I did some serious research and was not able to find many complaints about this particular vehicle. That is the majority of the reason I bought it. The other reason was because I liked the way that it looked and the way that it drove.

Some of my Likes: This car has amazing pickup! It has tons of room inside. The trunk is large without the car being huge. The stereo system is great (I am used to putting aftermarket systems in, and I did not have to with this car). The seats are extremely comfortable and they have seat warmers! I love the way that this car feels on the road. It sits low like a sports car and really drips the road! I love the sporty feel, but needed 4 doors. The g6 is a great combination of sport and practicality.

Some of my Dislikes: I have heard from some of my larger and taller friends that the seats are very uncomfortable. I am 5'2 and curvy, but find the seats incredibly comfortable. I purchased the 4 door sedan version because I was unable to see out the rear window of the coupe. While I liked the look of the coupe it was impractical because I was too short to see. Also, the tires are very expensive, because they are low profile 18's (on the GTP). I just replaced my original tires (LS2's) as long as you take care of your tires (balance rotate, check air pressure ect) when needed you can definitely extend the life of your tires. Another small complaint would be that the rear seat does not split. It either all folds down, or is up and locked. I sometimes wish that I could fold just half of the rear seat and not the whole seat. The other thing that I have noticed with this car is that there are very few aftermarket parts available. If you are looking to modify your car by adding ground effects etc this may not be the car for you. However, if you are a do it yourself-er, this may be a GREAT project car for you!

I have not had any major issues. The only issue was that the passenger seat belt would continue to ding if a passenger had rode with me and left the car but I had not shut the engine off. I took it to the dealership and they reprogrammed the ECM and fixed the problem.

I would HIGHLY recommend this vehicle. My G6 almost has 50k on it and I love driving it more every single day!

My most memorable moments with this car are my cross country trips. It is extremely comfortable to travel in. It is a great car to move stuff. As I mentioned above there is ample room for suitcases boxes etc. I usually keep a full size spare in my trunk and still it leaves me room to put boxes and suitcases in the trunk.
