2008 Honda Civic

The 1996-2000 model is the sixth generation of Honda Civic. It is a simple, comfortable, economical and long-lasting vehicle.

Honda Civic has front-wheel drive with 4-cylinder engine and four-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission. The HX model came with a continuously variable transmission.

Inside, the Civic is comfortable for daily driving and is fairly spacious for a small car, although the rear-seat headroom is limited. Instruments and controls are simple and easy to use. The split rear seat folds down to accommodate longer items. Great style, best in the market, Drivers seat is the best .good interiors nice looks mileage is ok ,the car is smooth .Good style, good performance in city using paddle shift mode

On the road, the Civic handles well and has nice smooth ride. The engine is a bit noisy at acceleration.

In the NHTSA frontal crash tests, the 1996-1997 4-door models scored 4 stars for the driver and five stars for the front passenger. The 1996-2000 Honda Civic 2-door as well as 1998-2000 4-door model scored 4 stars for both the driver and the front passenger in the same tests. Being taller than the average person, at 6'+ height, I had given up on cars a few years ago in favour of SUVs. Though an avid driver ( I like to chuck the car around on occasion when the open road beckons) I was convinced that car manufacturers had only shorter men in mind when they designed their products and I was doomed to either drive only SUVs or trucks.

Boy! Was I wrong!! I initially approached the Honda Civic with some scepticism. Being an avid car buff , I had researched the car extensively and sought the opinions of several owners. The thing that drew me to this car was that though some owners cribbed about some small issues (like the low stance, and below expected mileage) they were also unequivocal in their admiration for the car. It has really great looks. For a product in this category and range i.e 8 lakhs to 12 lakhs it is the best car in this segment.The stylish international looks gives you a cue to yearn for it. My friends call my civic a ship, and me the captain....so what Civic is a cruiser. I love him to the core...Its over a year since I got my Civic. From Day one our friendship grew. Dislikes: copied features from accord. dunn like the front exterior of the car..wont last long on indian roads Cabin not very silent Back seat comfortable but little bumpy on bad roads, boot small Ground clearance less leg space in the front
