I bought this car pre-owned, with low mileage. I was instantly in love with the aesthetics, and hoped it could perform to match it's attractiveness. I test drove it, with the dealer, and impressed him, because as I have come to find out not too many women drive stick without, as he put it, "giving you an achy neck." The tC hugs every curve of the road, so tight, that it consistentley excites me. It's got great pick-up, responsiveness, and power. The car is great on gas, great brake reaction time, and drives fast! It looks sexy, the racing style bucket seats and chrome accents adds to its allure. It comes built with specialized rims, which gives it an edgy look. The sound system is powerful, and can be hidden from view with a silver panel. The speakers are lined within the passenger doors, and the back panels next to the seats. The dash board is extended, and has a shielded control panel, and its very stylish. The seats are racing-style bucket seats that are very comfortable for long drives. There is a double paneled roof, including a moon roof, and a panoramic view passenger panel for the back seat passengers. There are also two sliding shades for both the front seat and the back seat roof panels, in case you don't want the sun or street lights to shine on you, or in your eyes. The view from the back seat is an extremely unique experience for passengers. There is ample room in the cup holders for more than one drink, or it could even fit a few books, a small purse, or some other medium sized personal effects. There are also two sets of ceiling lights that are extremely bright, and can be used for reading, or looking for something within the car, your purse, or to look at a map. I particularly like that there are blinker lights on the side view mirrors, it is safer for other drivers, and you. The BEST part about this car is the fact that the three back seats fold down. This car is a hatchback, and you can choose to make space as you need it. It is extremely useful, and customized. I have moved twice using this car, and this car alone. It is incredible. You can put either one, two or three seats down in the back, and the length and space this car offers is amazing. The size of the car is deceiving, and it is surprising. I moved my entire apartment using this car, including a queen sized bed frame, mattress, and parts from Ikea! It's pretty amazing. There are few things wrong with this car. The only reason I ranked comfort lower is because if you are tall, and a backseat passenger, the hatchback affords little space for your head. If you don't commonly carpool, or hang out with short people, this shouldn't be a problem. Also, if you drive stick shift for a long time, your feet may get tired, but this car has CRUISE CONTROL! Performance and reliability are ranked one lower because I live in a big city, and have had to slam on my brakes a few times. The times I had to act fast, the car WAS reliable, but when the brakes were suddenly applied, the car pulled to the left. I know this may be just MY car, or MY alignment, but I am just being honest about my review. The car is sexy, stylish, reliable, and fun to drive. The tC, and Scion in general are geared towards a younger demographic, but this car can pull off an elegance and has been likened to the aesthetics of a Lexus, or an Audi. In the long run, this car has been the best investment I have ever made, I am extremely happy with it, and would recommend it to any friend of mine.
