This car is shared among all four members of our family, but my mom drives it the most. I drive it when I lend my car to my sister. It's a V6 automatic.
50000 miles in, and nothing's gone wrong with it. There were recalls for issues it never had, but aside from that the only times it's been in for service has been scheduled maintenance.
The V6 engine is almost too much power. Loads of low end torque. It 'requires' premium, but our dealer said we could run it on regular. It doesn't complain. It makes a fantastic noise.
Handling is a bit dead, but secure. It's because of the odd angle of the engine. It's not turned sideways, so it's very far towards the front of the car - it's based on the Audi A4, and that layout's a traditional Audi quirk. Brakes are good. The automatic is decent.
The interior is very German. Very solid and comfortable. Heated seats are amazing.
My mom thinks this body style looks better than the new Passat. I agree.
