I have owned my 2006 350 Z touring roadster for three years now. It is my favorite car of any of the cars I have owned over 30 plus years. The car is a joy to drive. I love the roar of the engine when it starts.

For a convertible, there is a surprising amount of trunk space which permits luggage for a long weekend trip. Handling and styling are wonderful. Reliability is great.

Negatives include lack of a glove box for cabin storage, although there are two good storage areas behind the seats with the negative being difficulty in accessing them. Another negative I have is the ease with which paint in the cabin scratches off leaving a silver color underneath. Gas mileage is not great, but not bad for a sports car. I average 17 in downtown city driving and 25 on the highway.

Seats are very comfortable and the cabin interior is very ergonomic. I love the three little gages at the top of the dash for easy to read information. The Bose sound system sounds wonderful and the top disappears in seconds with little fuss.

The car is not practical if you need a car with seating capacity of more than two. My partner has a car that holds four people and we get along wonderfully. Not sure if it would be practical for us if it was our only car. If you are looking for a very smooth ride, this is not the car for you. It is a sports car and you feel the road when you drive. Not as stiff and unforgiving going over rough roads though as a Corvette. Not a bad car to get in and out of even for an older person. My mother is 77 and has back problems and had no problem getting in and out of the car.

The 350 Z is a bargain for what you get. To get another sports car of this caliber you would have to pay thousands more. Not a cheap car but an excellent price for the quality of car you are buying.

I highly recommend the car for someone looking for a fun, exciting, reasonably priced sports car.
