A Great Car

I have owned a 2008 Chevy Equinox for just over a year and it has been a pretty reliable car for me. I had been looking for a small to mid sized sport utility vehicle and was torn between a few different options. I looked at the Honda CRV and Ford Escape before I finally made my decision to buy the Equinox. After a year of having the Equinox I have a lot of good things to say about it. The gas milage has been great. There is a lot of room in the car which has been great for me being in a band. I can fit a drum set , a few guitars, pa system, etc easily and still fit a couple band members! I can fit in a whole bunch of golf bags with no problem and worry about that. I have not had any trouble with the car breaking down or anything of that nature. One of the reasons I chose this car as opposed to others is because of the look of it. It has a real American look as opposed to a lot of other cars. It has soft edges and does not have any crazy look going that a lot of companies have tried and failed with that I have seen. The seats are very comfortable and I am always getting compliments on how great the car is in the back seat.

The main problem that I have had with this car has been the turning radius. It really has an awful turning radius even for a sport utility vehicle. I have driven many cars larger than the Equinox and they have almost all were much easier to turn. Trying to make a U turn on a even a four lane road is almost out of the question and on a two lane road is definitely out of the question. Another thing that is not my favorite is that some of the panel on the inside looks a little bit cheap. There is a lot of fake looking plastic silverly stuff that looks a little cheap. This does not completely take away from the generally good look of the car or anything, but does hinder it slightly at least.

Would I recommend this car to anyone and if so to who? Well I would say that I would definitely recommend one if you can find one for the right price. I was able to get a bit of a deal on my Equinox because I have a couple friends in the car selling business, but I am happy with my purchase. This car has gotten me where I need to go for a year with little to no problems, so how could I not be happy? I would recommend this to anyone who needs a small to mid sized sport utility vehicle that is a pretty easy car to drive and has plenty of room for most everything you would need to fit in a car. The amount of space really has been truly great, I was able to completely move from one space to another with little struggle.
