I was interested in purchasing the VUE a couple years ago, but held off for a while. When Saturn redesigned it, I decided to purchase it. Physically, the car looks great. I would have loved a sun-roof, but unfortunately, I didn’t have the money to waste on one. I chose a nice metallic red for the color and it really does look wonderful. The pick-up is really great—much better than my old Rendezvous. As for the price, I think it was pretty reasonable. I definitely believe that you get what you pay for, and I’m happy with what I ended up with. The gas mileage is the same as its advertised. I can honestly say I can’t complain with the highway mileage, which is surprising with such a large vehicle. In terms of reliability, I really have not had the car long enough to experience any problems with it (knock on wood). I will also add that the service I received at the Saturn dealership was absolutely amazing. It was by far the best customer service I have ever received when buying a new car and I looked forward to going back for our next family car. We were treated with incredible patience and any question we could think of was answered quickly and thoroughly. Not only that, but the service was incredibly friendly. For things I like about the car, I would say I like the way it looks, I like the power, and I definitely like mileage. To be fair, though, I mainly drive highways to work, so I get optimum gas mileage. I also went with the entertainment system in the back. I can’t say I’ve had a lot of experience with it, though, as I’m the driver. The family seems to like it. Also, the steering is not “mushy” like my last car. That, combined with the power, makes it an overall fun car to drive. For my dislikes, I only have a couple I can think of. The car is great overall and the only thing I can say I really wish it had is Heads Up Display like my old Rendezvous did. Unfortunately, I don’t think that’s available on any new models, though. Also, the Saturn VUE did not come with Rear Park Assist—a feature that I had grown accustomed to having on other cars. It’s not too big of a deal, but it would have been convenient. The other car I considered purchasing was the Acadia. The Acadia was too big, though, and I really don’t regret going with the VUE. I would say if you’re looking for a reliable SUV with enough room for kids while remaining small enough to not be intrusive, the VUE is a great choice.
