I LOVE my car!

Jodi on June 1, 2009 | Has owned a 2008 Saturn Outlook

I have owned this car for a little over a year, and I can't say enough about it! When we were looking for a vehicle, we wanted one that was American that could transport 7 passengers, that got good gas mileage, and that had a pass through second row (one where you didn't have to fold down seats to get in the third row), and the Outlook was one of the only ones we found. We have been so pleased with our purchase. The seats are comfortable, and the leather has held up great. The ride is smooth, we've had no issues at all. It handles very well, and has a great turning radius, which makes parking easy. This is one of the only cars I've ever owned that doesn't have transmission problems by now. I love the dual sunroof. With a touch of a button, the shade in the second row opens and closes, which is very helpful when the weather in hot and the sun is out. I do wish the second row moonroof was a sunroof and would open, but I appreciate how large it is, and if it opened, it may have to be smaller, so that's something I can live without. I love the second row captain's chairs. I drive seven passengers almost daily, and it's comfortable and easy getting in and out. Even my little ones can fold the seat up and down, if needed - which you don't need to to get in and out of the third row. The Outlook carries a lot of cargo in back, even with seven passengers. We've put all the seats down and have carried lumber, 50 bags of mulch, just a ton of stuff. The DVD player works great and has been a life saver on long road trips. I love that my kids can watch something in back on the headphones, and my husband and I can listen to what we want in front. It's the first time I've had a back-up sensor on a vehicle, which now I'm hooked on. I think that is more functional than a back-up camera which is on some cars, but to beep when you get close to something is so helpful. The only slight negative I would have for this vehicle would be that the gas mileage could be better - although it's approximately what was advertised for city and highway driving. My city driving is a little lower than advertised, but I drive a lot up and down mountains, and that kills my gas mileage, but that's true of any vehicle. I love the tire pressure gauges, too, which warned me when my tire was getting low after I ran over something. I would recommend this car to anyone - and have talked two people into buying one - and would buy a Saturn again ... if they weren't going out of business! I do like the look of the front end of the GMC version better - the Acadia - but wanted tan interior, which GMC didn't offer. Overall, an incredible car that we will have for a LONG time.
