2004 Chevrolet Impala

I currently own the 2004 Chevrolet Impala. It has almost 100,000 miles on it currently (I like to drive!). I enjoy the stylish look of the car as well as the user friendly interior options. The dashboard is easy to read and understand as well as the radio functions. I am hard-pressed to find something I do not like about the car. It gets about 35 miles per gallon on the highway and I haven't evaluated what kind of mileage it gets in town.

I have had a few issues with the car, but I have put quite a lot of miles on it too. I have had issues with the heater as sometimes it won't warm up on the passenger side and I have to move the temperature gauge back and forth to get it to work. I think that might have more to do with the venting system. The light on the temperature gauge (for night-time visibility) has gone out on the driver's side. Also, the tires always seem to need air.

I would recommend this car to just about anyone who values a dependable stylist car. College students, parents, etc. Other cars I would recommend would be the Chevrolet Cavalier. I owned a Chevrolet Cavalier for 10 years. I bought it new and in 10 years I put almost 250,000 miles on it and it was still going with minor wear and tear and maintenance.

Some memorable moments with my Chevrolet Impala have to do with my children. I have had many 'unfortunate incidents' in the car such as spills and such. I have noticed that it is very easy to get stains out of the upholstery. One particular time, my son spilled red juice drink all over the back seat (yes, red! The hardest color to get out!) and I used regular carpet cleaner and it came right up.

In conclusion, I feel that this car is a very good buy and worth what you pay for it. Dependable, stylist, roomy and comfortable.
