Nothing More American, Indeed

Than poor worksmanship and crappy parts. I was happy as a clam when in high school my grandmother decided to give me her 2002 Ford Mustang. It was V6 and automatic, but I was a kid and only cared that it looked cool. Well, it's 2009 now, and the car's needed 6 new tires, a new battery, a new front windshield, the audio system is shot, and there's a hole between the window and the convertible top that allows air to seep through and causes wind drag (no, not a hole in the top itself, merely between those two pieces). So, if you want a car that looks great and drives great for the first year or so, this is definitely the car for you. But if you want good gas mileage, traction in the snow, and general reliability in your brakes and shocks, don't by American. There's a reason they're going under.
