I am now wondering if my radio phone equipment in the car is causing the problem of pulling the wheel out of my hands. They can't fix it and I showed my service guy my video. Someone is going to get hurt or die in my traded in 2009 Toyota Corolla that TOYOTA says nothings wrong with it. I traded it in a took a loss after just a few months of owning this car. My newer 2009 Toyota Corolla drives just fine. it's only a few bad apples.

Yes you are correct. I also purchased a new toyota corolla 2009 and I am experiencing the same condition with the alignment problem that drifts to the right or left on bumping roads at higher speeds. It doesn't do that on smooth pave roads. It could be inherited in the design known as the characteristic signature performance of the design, or normal characteristic of the design or it could be a workmanship problem. It should be thoroughtly investigated by the dealer or a dealer that is conscious enough. This problem is not new for Corollas 2009. It has been experienced in other year models. Also Camrys, Sennas, Corollas and other totyota models suffer from this problem. Every one of us affected with this condition should report it to the "National High Safety" so the more complains they receive the sooner an action will be taken. So you traded in--but overlooked to report it. As you mentioned that other person driven that car is continue experiencing the same problem.

I just rolled my 2009 toyota corolla driving on the highway going between 65 and 70. I glanced at my gps for half a second and my car drifted to the left from the fast lane - when my tires hit the bumps in the road that warn you that you're going onto the shoulder I over-corrected to the right and did a 360 and before flipping over in a ditch on the right side of the road. I know it's easy to lose control at high speeds as a result of overcorrection, but I can't help feeling, now that I've read all these reviews about poor steering in the new corollas, that maybe the whole accident could have been avoided if my car hadn't pulled to the left like that. Just thought this might be helpful information.
