Ford gave the Mustang an overhaul and back tracked to a more classic muscle car. Made for those who want to feel power this car is not for families or cold snowy weather, but if you want heads to turn by all means this is the Ford for you.
Ping! Ford hit a 5 with this baby when it comes to style. Taking a look back in time and making a more retro body has worked wonders for the Mustang's image. Classic 60's inspired lines with contemporary colors turned out to be a winning combo. Too bad comfort falls short ranking a 3. The interior is tighter then one would expect from the outside. Knees bump the door or center just often enough to be annoying. The leather feature is also a let down. Most of what you think would be leather is vinyl or plastic, and the seats are ok for shorter drives, but too stiff for long hauls.
Performance is a 4. This car is a sport car. Do not expect great traction in wet, icy or snowy weather. That being said other then the ride being a little stiff this car handles it's high-speed capabilities wonderfully. Has great power, no problems passing anyone on the highway.
Reliability so far is a 5. I have never had to pick one up off the side of the road for mechanical problems or breakdowns. It is early yet for these years though.
Value is a 4 in my book. The mileage isn't bad for a muscle car coming in between 16-23 MPG but in today's economy not the best efficiency. General upkeep is a good price. Back yard guys can get all the parts for a tune up and oil change for under $50, as long as they stay away from the over priced after market bonanza that follows the Ford Mustang. Going to a dealer can run you up to $100 but most of that is labor. There was only one minor recall that shouldn't be a cost to owners. (Air bag isn't suited for very short people)
Overall I give this newest generation of the Ford Mustang a 4. Once the interior becomes a bit more luxurious it will defiantly be a 5.
