Infiniti has always been a bit of a wallflower. Through Nissan, it's made some decent luxury cars, but they're usually based on the most popular Nissan models. The Infiniti G35 coupe is no exception.
Based on Nissan's 350Z, the G35 was stretched to include a, totally useless back seat. It had less power than the Z-car, but offered either a five-speed automatic transmission with manual shift gate; or a six-speed manual. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, power brake assist, front side airbags, curtain side airbags and an in-dash CD changer were standard. Xenon lights and a sport-tuned suspension were also included. The base coupe had cloth upholstery, but the up-level leather option also added 19-inch wheels, a limited-slip differential, heated front seats, and steering-wheel audio controls. Manual-transmission equipped coupe's also got bigger brakes. Options included Bose digital audio, DVD navigation and satellite radio.
