The Honda Fit is a subcompact four-door hatchback perfect for getting you. This 4-dr, five-passenger wagon slots below the Civic as Honda's entry-level model.Base and Sport versions are offered, both with a 109-hp 4-cyl engine. Manual transmission is standard. A 5-speed automatic is optional; on Sport models it includes manual-shift steering wheel paddles. The Fit measures in at a maximum of 41.9 cubic feet (we’ll explain later how to get all that stuff in the car), while it tops out at 21.3 cubic feet with all the seats up.Twenty seconds in the Fit showed me that the engine is pure Honda; it isn’t as quiet as a six, but Honda has done all it could to make the engine noise (as opposed to exhaust noise) as benign as possible. The Fit's configurable cabin, numerous standard amenities and peppy performance secure its place as a top-ranked affordable small car.
