I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar to what I have. After a month of owning this car I notcied quite the hesitation when accelerating to merge on highways or go up hills, and it isn't all the time, but lately have been occurring more frequently. Upon taking it for service they said that it is how it is designed to run. If anyone else has had similar expereinces please let me know. Thanks!

I have a 2006 Audi A4 S-line 3.2L v6. I have the same issue. The hesitation occurs when I am stopped and press on the accelerator. Doesn't happen everytime, but enough to be annoying. I've found that it doesn't do it quite as frequently if I'm able to anticipate a light change and I remove my foot from the brake about a full second before accelerating. Kind of annoying that I have to do this for such an expensive piece of machinery. I'm told it is normal as well with. The reason is the CVT (continuously variable transmission) which uses a computer to tell the transmission which gear ratio is most optimal for your acceleration. Which of course depends on how hard you are pressing on the accelerator. As long as my tranny doesn't fall out of the bottom, I suppose I will live.
