2000 Ford Mustang

I rented a 2000 Ford Mustang for two weeks while on vacation in 2001. The car was very fun to drive at first, especially with the convertible top. It was a pretty fast ride with the straight six engine and handled rather well.

After about fifteen minutes you realize just how small the interior really was for someone six feet or taller. I know it's a sports car but I have been in many and can tell you from experience that given the size of the Mustang It could have been laid out much better.The radio controls are directly behind the shifter making it very awkward to change the station or adjust the volume.

The Mustang I drove was only a year old and the convertible top was already leaking. I'm not sure if this is typical of this year or if the rental was just misused by a previous renter.

Overall for the price I still have to say the Mustang is a good vehicle if your shorter than six feet tall, have a custom wireless remote for the radio and consider getting the hard top.
