Horrible Experience

I drove this car for about a month back in December, while my Toyota Corolla was being repaired, after it was rear-ended. I have to say that I was really disappointed with it, especially how it performed on the highway. With it being a compact car, you should still expect to have something solid. Not the case.
While driving along I-95, not even going the speed limit of 55 mph, the car felt really unsteady. A simple gust of wind would cause the vehicle to shift on its own. For an unexperienced driver, this could have caused an accident without proper control.
On the street, the Focus wasn't so bad, except that the suspension wasn't the best. You really felt the bumps and crags in the road. However, if you don't have to take the highway, then the car drives decently to get you where you need to go.
The Focus is more of a spring-summer vehicle. It's lightweight build doesn't make for a secure feel while driving during the colder months. This is definitely a car that needs all-season tires, at least. I drove this vehicle in the winter and it was like being on ice skates. You had to be very careful going around curves and making turns.
I cannot make it more clear how much I missed my Toyota while I had this car. If I had to recommend this car to someone, I would let them know that this is more of a car for a first-time driver, just for street driving. If you don't have 4WD or all-season tires on it, then you may as well keep it in the garage once the snow starts to fall.
