I bought this as my first car during my senior year of college. I needed something with great gas mileage as I was a poor college student who was soon to be a poor graduate. I needed something economical that still appealed to my sense to style. The safety rating for the Fit exceeded all other comparable models from Toyota, Nissan, etc. I took the bait and haven't been disappointed at all in the three years I've owned the vehicle. The gas mileage has averaged 32 city and 37 highway (manual), and I haven't had any mechanical problems at all. The versatility of the seating has been as amazing as advertisements claim- I have hauled myself home from college, and into a new apartment with no problems- fitting 16 large and delicate paintings easily! My 6'4" 220lb brother-in-law frequently rides in the backseat very comfortably- his head doesn't even hit the ceiling! The only complaint that I've heard from people about my Fit is that the suspension is rough- it doesn't ride like a Buick, certainly- you feel the bumps. It hasn't bothered me, however, and I'd still consider it the perfect car! Anyone looking for a hardy, zippy, safety-conscious car with definite value for your buck should take a long look at the Fit!
