We needed a second car, and with gas prices skyrocketing, we chose the Toyota Yaris. It's fantastic on gas mileage: we're noticing that it consistently gets around 35 miles per gallon, sometimes a little bit more, and we're thrilled with that. Don't be fooled by the two doors- the interior is a lot bigger than it lets on. I admit that I'm often reminded of driving an SUV while in the Yaris, because it's so much higher up off the ground than regular cars, or at least, the cars I've driven in the past. The seating is comfortable: firm, but comfortable, and the three glove boxes (one in the normal spot, one above the normal spot, and one in the dash) are fantastic. Drawbacks: well, I do miss having a trunk to store stuff in, and we chose not to purchase the power package, so we're stuck cranking our windows up and down, but the car more than makes up for it by having a jack for an mp3 player, and you can program ten radio stations. Great little car, very reliable, great on gas, great buy.
