The Kia Spectra is a great car if you are looking for something reliable, great on gas and inexpensive. This car handles well in all weather (rain, sleet, snow, ice and sun). During the winter, in city I usually get about 23 MPG. During the summer though, when the roads are great, I average about 30 MPG. Highway mileage is wonderful. Today I traveled 660 miles on about 20 gallons of gas. The biggest problem with this car is that it is really not designed for tall people or people with long legs. To drive without your knees on the steering column, you must put the seat as far back as it will go. This results in loss of leg room in the back seat as well as a sore back during extended trips.
If you are looking for an inexpensive, high MPG car to get you back and forth to work each day, then the Spectra is for you. If you have a long commute and are tall, then you might want to look somewhere else.
