The Impala has taken four ski trips from Michigan to the Montana Rockies. It handles steadily and reliably on the highway, in blowing snowstorms, on icy roads. The seating is comfortable on long trips. The fold down back seats that allow ski storage get an A++. The only con: The area near the passenger door is cold on a long trip.
