This is our second Volvo, we bought it because of it's reputation for safety and we have not been disappointed with our purchase. The Volvo XC90 is a classy SUV in the same class with Lexus, Infiniti and the Lincoln 7 passenger SUVs. The Drive train features a 6 cylinder motor that is smooth and fuel efficient. I have been averaging between 17-20 MPH which is respectable. Seating in the XC90 is very comfortable unless you try to put an adult in the 3rd row seat. My 6 year old daughter likes sitting back there and access through the middle seat has not been a problem. The rear trunk area is modest in size and offers a flip up section next to the reat door for groceries or other small objects. We purchased the DVD system with wireless headphones and they have worked well unless my daughters forget to turn off their headphones and the batteries drain. You can also play the DVD over the stereo if needed. My only complaint with regards to reliability is the gas cap. We had to have a part replaced shortly after purchase because the check engine light came on. I was told by the dealership that several customers were bringing in their XC 90's because they did not close their gas caps well enough which triggers the check engine light, they even had a sign up that warned customers that they would only turn off the light once for free. I thought that was a ridiculous policy but apparently they have a problem with the gas cap seal. Other than that I have no complaints about that XC 90 we really enjoy it and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a safe, comfortable and classy SUV.
