practical but sometime annoying

I guess my problem is not with the design of the car or most of its guts like enginge & transmission - those are fine. My problem has been with the guys that assembled parts of it - lots of annoying little issues like the antenna that unscrews itelf at freewway speeds so you have to screwit back on as soon as you've parked, or the drivers door trim that has never stayed attached properly. The vehicle has always run well although something of a gas pig. I originally bought it for very practical reasons & would probably do so agin in the same time & place in spite of annoyances.

I have a 1999 Chevy Blazer 2-Door and it is the most impractical vehicle I have ever owned. I want my 1989 Ford Festiva back! The seats suck, the interior is cramped, visibility is horrid due to the low sitting seats, spare tire in the back window and the side mirrors that interfere with seeing during turning. I cannot drive it on long trips without my back hurting. It is a squirrel in the snow, even in 4wd. If I would have been aware of all these issues when I test drove the car I would never have bought it. There is a horrid squeak/rattle/sound from the back that was also present in my 1991 Blazer. I have still not figured out what in the hell it is...maybe the jack, perhaps the seat, possibly the spare tire rack. It was a vehicle made for looks and that is all. If I would not have already spent several thousand dollars on front end repairs (a common Blazer issue) and a new heater core, I would drive the thing off a cliff. For now I am stuck with it. Gas mileage also sucks. The one good thing about it is that it has a hell of an engine that can merge with freeway traffic with no problem. It is still not worth it.
