2005 Toyota Tacoma

This is a great little truck for someone who doesn't need a full size bed or a huge payload. They have a six foot bed, will pull or hold 800 pounds, and actually get decent gas mileage, over 20 mpg on average, if you don't go for the 4 wheel drive. They'll fit in any parking space, maneuver like a much smaller vehicle, and still put you above the traffic for a good view of the road. Because they're popular, its easy to find accessories, and they won't cost you too much, either. I've driven mine all over the country and would buy another in a minute.
