The X-Type is a compact executive car produced by the British luxury automaker Jaguar since 2001. It the smallest of the current range of Jaguar sedans and was designed to build upon the success of the S-Type, though it borrows many styling cues from the XJ. The X-Type rides on a modified version of the Ford CD132 platform, the basis for the Ford Mondeo. It is produced at Jaguar's Halewood facility. Available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, it is the first Jaguar that isn't rear-wheel drive. It also featured Jaguar's first diesel.

The 2008 Jaguar X-Type strives to emulate classic Jaguar styling, and while some reviews say that the car delivers on that goal, most think it falls just short of those standards. If ever we have to choose a car, don't matter its style but rather on how it works and its capacity. I have nothing against this model.
