Mar John on July 6, 2008 | Has worked on a 2008 Ford Explorer

For many years the Ford Explorer has been one of the best selling SUVs around. A capable tow vehicle and off-roader, the Explorer is equally at home shuttling people and collecting groceries with ease. Available as a rear-wheel, four-wheel, or all-wheel drive vehicle the 2008 Explorer seats five. An optional fold-flat third-row seat permits seven-passenger capacity. The XLT, Eddie Bauer and Limited trims are equipped with either a 210-hp 4.0-liter V6 engine with five-speed automatic transmission or a 292-hp 4.6-liter V8 with a six-speed automatic transmission. Standard radios now come with an audio input jack for mp3 players. Advance Trac Roll Stability Control, tire pressure monitoring, antilock brakes, and front, side, and Safety Canopy side-curtain airbags are standard safety features. Ford's industry exclusive new Sync hands-free communications and entertainment system is included on Eddie Bauer and Limited, optional on XLT.

For 2008, the Ford Explorer includes more features and adds Safety Canopy side-curtain airbags for improved safety. Moreover, reviewers say the 2008 Ford Explorer is a solid if unspectacular performer, with straightforward styling and nice comfort and safety features. I have nothing against the car because I really like this one.
