My wife bought this car for her real estate business and we both drive this car almost every day. We love the comfort of the car and the handling. If it was a bit faster I'd be happy. The only problem we had was maintnence. We had an oxygen sensor go out at 64022 miles($360). Then a rear transmission seal had to be replaced at 78477 miles($436) and now we have a clunking sound coming from the right front side of the car. so far unidentified. We expected much better from Toyota. Especially with the Lexus name. This is also the Rx with the engine sludge problem which we found out about after we purchased! One of the strangest things about this car that I have never experienced is the light bulbs started burning our when the car was 4 years old. That has to be atributed to Toyota using cheap bulbs. I still had only replaced one headlight in my 20 year year old Nissan..... We are now faced with having the timing belt changed. That is another $800 to $1000. I guess they do not make the perfect car yet.....
We would like to get rid of the car and buy the same car but newer year....'04 or '05.
