I'm a valet at a 5 diamond resort in San Diego, CA. The first time i saw the S 550 i was awestruck by the styling of the vehicle. The lines seemed to be geometrically similar and all came together so perfectly, as though the body of the car was all one piece. It seemed as if it was going 100 miles per hour standing still. i got in to park the vehicle and the interior was immaculate. all the buttons for window control were flush with the inner door handles, the navigation and audio controls are all on one simple-to-use, comfortably positioned, smooth gliding knob. the audio and navigation display was so clever, allowing you to scan preset satellite radio channels as if you were turning the knob on an old style radio in the early 1920's. I was able to take the car off property for fuel and detailing, a time in which i was able to actually drive the car. Merging onto the freeway was a breeze, easily going 80 miles per hour before i was able to check the speedometer. The best part about it being the silence and tranquility inside. The only way you knew how fast you were going was the speedometer, the atmosphere inside and smoothness of the ride are unparalleled except to maybe a Bentley or Rolls-Royce. Considering price comparisons on the competition I'd say the 550 is a sure bet.
