Pontiac is a latecomer to the compact sport utility segment but we think the Torrent was worth the wait. Based on the same platform as the successful Chevrolet Equinox, the Torrent adds a dose of Pontiac excitement with a sport-tuned suspension, 185 HP V6 and 5 speed automatic standard. The styling says “European” and looks especially fetching in black. Interior is roomy and comfortable and the Torrent is actually fun to tool around in. Starts at $22,990. Likes · Clean, sporty styling · Drives like a car, not a truck · Interior design is clean and sleek - a place you wouldn’t mind spending time · Great sound system · Gay-friendly company
Dislikes · Exterior does not look good in all colors · Interior quality is great for a GM but not quite up to competitors’ standards
