I bought a Prius when the gas prices started to rise. I drive about 60 miles a day back and forth to work. The car was smaller than what I was used to but I got used to it. The gas milage that I get is worth driving a smaller car. I get 48 mpg on average and more if I go on a trip. There is a screen on the dash that tells you how much gas you are using. This makes you more aware of different ways to save on fuel. Keep the oil changed and check your tires regularly and you make everyone else jealous of the money that you are saving by not going to the gas pump! Becareful where you leave it for oil changes though. Some mechanics don't know how to start it. When it makes no noise and is running, some think it stalled out. This has happened more than once to me. When I bought tires and went back to pick the car up it was still in the spot where I had left it. The mechanic said it wouldn't start. No noise,,,,it must be broken. LOL
