Jeeps have a notoriously high roll over rate, If you really want to get her an SUV/Truck, think about something build on a car platform, like the Toyota Highlander. Its a little lower so the center of gravity is also brought down.

the short answer is 'no.' and the long answer is 'nooooooooo.' while the wrangler is an excellent vehicle in the mud/rock ect. it is still not great on road and especially for teenagers who has little experience, it has high center of gravity, poor visibility with the top up and need two hands on wheel to keep it straight. i have an '09 unlimited myself and can tell you jeep is still way behind other manufacturers when come to on-road demeanor.

No I'm 16 and i have 2 friends that have one, one is stick shift and the other automatic, and i hate riding in either! unless your daughter is a good driver i suppose it would be okay. Also if it rains it starts to smell moldy, and i don't feel safe in it especially on the highway, plus its very uncomfortable it only seats 4 comfortably and teenagers love giving each other rides , so you know how that is. The only time i liked her jeep is when we go to the beach, that is it.

why would anyone get this car for a first time driver let alone their own teenager! Do you know how high the roll over rate for these things are?? It's a metal death trap.

my dad is going to be getting me my first car soon, and we were between the wrangler and the volkswagen rabbit, he just today told me he'll be getting me a rabbit, and it crushed my heart! I think a wrangler is a teenager or a male midlife crisis car!! I am not planning on getting one outside my teenage years, so I think it will be an awesome car for your daughter to have, I know I would be filled with joy if my dad changed his mind and decided to get me one! I am a good driver and I have been told of all the dangers with this car, I test drove one, and I can handle it fine. I just hope your daughter is the same

Im coming up on the age of 16 and I've been looking at a jeep wrangler unlimited. It's a great size for a first car but the gas mileage isn't so great. The gas is the only thing holding me back rite now but overall i'd get it.

buy a german car, you will love it, then some dumb part will brake you will hate it. and then you will realize its better than every other car anyway. you will then keep it ten years because it is built to last that lon. dont buy american. eva. they brake more than any car ive ever seen, are always poorly built, and have terrible drive quality. or you could buy japanese and skip all these problems, but end up with a car with no soul.
