Is this car really a good alternative to a Mercedes?

This car crushed the Mercedes E-350 in a head to head comparison I did earlier on this site, and I've started to seriously consider getting it. What do you think? Is this really a good alternative to the E-350?

It did hold up really well in comparisons. I'd check the KBB and CR ratings, but wasn't this somebody's car-of-the-year recently? Worth more investigation...

Absolutely. Cadillac makes good cars again. The Caddy has a base MSRP of $43K, while the Benz goes for $52K. The CTS ride has the soft, cushy, smooooth ride Cadillac's are famous for, so enjoy the ride!

It is so much better than the Benz...the CTS-V is absolutely nasty...try one as a rental from Avis first!!

This is the only American car that I would ever consider buying. Cadillac did well to reinvent itself and turn the heads 20-40 year old professionals who want an executive car with a sporty look, while not alienating traditional Cadillac consumers.
