Can I put aftermarket speakers in my 1997 Pontiac Grand Am?

I would like to know because I am not happy with the factory speakers that came with the vehicle when I purchased it. I've heard that aftermarket speakers are a lot better than the factory ones so I would really like to know if this is possible.

    Yes, you can... but keep the cost in mind: do you really want to invest in new speakers for a 12-year-old vehicle?
