Aftermarket DVD player having issues...

We just purchased a 2002 Honda Odyssey that came with an aftermarket DVD player already installed (AutoCinema ACG4 Universal w/ DVD player PV40). Actually, the screen puts out a pretty good picture and the DVD player works. However, it skips when we hit a bump, the sound has to go through an FM station via the radio or we have to use wired headsets that work when they want and if they do work - there's a lot of static. My current situation, just doesn't allow me to go out and purchase a new factory installed DVD player (small business owner hit HARD by the economy!). I have three kids, two of them are very small - so I was hoping to avoid the portable DVD option. Does anyone know if its possible for me to keep the screen that is installed and just change the DVD player? Would this solve my sound issues or would I still have to tune it in via a radio station or use the old headsets? Basically, I'm trying to find the most affordable fix. If I can keep the screen I have, and find a player that avoids the skipping when we hit bumps and puts out quality sound - problem solved. Anyone have advice or am I stuck replacing it all???

    Somewhere on the unit, is there a place to plug in a game consol? If so, you could plug in another DVD player there. If you don't have those pougs (one white, one red, one yellow typically) you are outta luck.
