2001 Audi a4 1.8T seem to be losing power. The engine seems to stutter a lot when reving up to speed to shift gears. might this be a tune-up issue? Alternator issue? Clutch issue?

The first thing I'd do is see if there are any codes stored. Take it to Autozone or any other chain auto parts store so they can read the codes for you. Other than that, it could be tune-up related, or a timing belt, fuel related or anyting else. How long have you owned the car, what maintenance history do you have for it and how long has it been doing this?
