    I don't think the question is if they can, the question is if they can afford NOT to put money into the peoject. Its a major part of GMs future sucess.

    If they abandon the Volt, the Govt's Automotive Task Force would kick out the executives. Besides, it's not like GM is putting their own money into the Volt.... They are putting OUR money into it! Money which will never be repaid.
