what kind of replacement tires should i use?

Well, vehicle engineers work hard to get the best compromise between ride/handling and the tires are a big part of that. If you want the best compromise, stick with the stock size and brand. But, if you will change brands (to be honest, few folks will notice a difference) it's still best to stick with the same size. In this case, your car came with 215/65/16
