Back in HS (early 80's) my friend I were a die hard Chevy/GM guys. The only thing worse than a Ford product was a Japanese.
Now I have a '99 Odyssey, '05 Mazda3 and a '60 Thunderbird.
For the van replacement, the new Korean Sorento is looking promising. Might return to GM with a Traverse or Acadia though. Honestly, however, I'm most likely to end up in another Odyssey.

Ford. And if I were in the market for a new car right now I'd stop by the Ford lots. Nice job Mulally and the rest of the Ford gang!

I will never buy any vehicle from Chrysler. We had a Plymouth Voyageur, which would randomly stall while driving. This happened on the highway once, and we got rid of it soon after. Good riddance.

GM. I grew up in the late 70's and 80's and the crap that GM threw out there (or threw up) made me swear off the brand for ever. I'm not saying I'd buy a GM car now, but the CTS is a heckuva car, I hear the new Malibu is leaps and bounds better than before and the new vette is just amazing. Now, I just picked up my first Ford product in about 18 years. crap! I guess I'll give them another try in 18 more years.

I was in HS in the 80's, here are our family cars around that time: 77 Cutlass (bought new) 76 Camaro (bought from a cousin, my first car) 80 Citation (grandpa bought new, sold to Dad) 80 Monza (my second car) 80 Toronado (bought from a family friend) 79 Monza (sister's first car) 82 Bonneville wagon diesel (grandpa bought new).
Dad hasn't owned a GM car since, nor have I or my sister nor did my grandfather. I'm just to the point of considering one, but I'm still not sure.
