Check your belts and the fluid level in the reservoir. Are there any noises associated with this problem?

BELTS LOOK FINE,RESERVOIR IS FULL,NO NOISE,EVERYTHING LOOKS NORMAL. COULD THE GEAR OR SOMETHING IN THE PUMP HAVE BEEN SHEARED OFF,OR COULD THE RACK & PINION BE BAD? I CAN FIX IT MYSELF.BUT,COST TO MUCH TO JUST GUESS WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. WHAT DO YOU THINK THE PROBLEM MITE BE DRBOOST?

If there was a mechanical problem, like a sheared gear or something, I think you'd feel and/or hear something. Are there any electrical connectors ON the power steering pump? I'd also remove the power steering cap with the engine running. Now have someone get in the car and turn the wheel side-to-side while you look in the power steering reservoir. BE CAREFULL TO KEEP HAIR AND CLOTHING AWAY FROM MOVING PARTS. You should see that the fluid is circulating. Is it? Is there a connector on the pump?
